 Acclaimed guitarist/songwriter Forrest McDonald announces the February 7, 2020, release date for his fifteenth CD, Blues in a Bucket, on World Talent Records with his band, The Forrest McDonald Band. This album features guest vocals by Andrew Black and Becky Wright plus Lee Gammon on bass and John McKnight on drums and a collection of guest musicians on various tracks. This eleven-track album showcases Forrest McDonald’s guitar mastery on such tracks as Boogie Me Till I Drop, the title track Blues In A Bucket, Windy City Blues, Going Back To Memphis and much more. In addition to a great performance, this album was well written (all tracks were written or co-written by Forrest McDonald), recorded and produced.

 Screaming leads on a Gibson through a cranked Marshall amp. That's the sound. Blues rock & metal become one... with "the worlds heaviest blues band?" Guitarist/vocalist Jeffrey David, JD, is well known for fronting the Canadian power-metal group Wicked Angel throughout the eighties and nineties. Wicked Angel toured and recorded extensively for over a decade, while JD was also involved in various blues oriented side-projects. However, it wasn't until 2008 that he devoted his skills full-time to this, his hard blues-rock project, including the role as sole writer for the group. James Thomas Band - The Loves Of My Life (2019)

After many years as a lead singer, for a Durham/Raleigh North Carolina cover band.James (Jerry) Thomas met his future band mates while working at the same recording studio in Charlotte, North Carolina. over twenty years ago. All three members of the band worked at the same recording studio. James' first album was produced by David Floyd with Pat Walters playing electric lead guitar. Their paths crossed many times, playing live shows with many other bands in the Charlotte area. After recording their first album, "Ocean Song", James moved on to Nashville, Tennessee then on to Los Angeles, California as a staff songwriter for many recording studios and music publishing houses in those two cities. Although James wrote many songs during this period for many artists of the time. James saved the nine songs he wrote for "Ocean Song" album for a future release under the "James Thomas Band" name. After James came back to North Carolina in 2007, David convinced James to put the nine songs of the "Ocean Song" album on Myspace under the Band's former name, the James Thomas Band. James felt the songs were outdated. David assured James that the songs would sound fine with todays music. Now after 227,753 people have listened to "Ocean Song" album and with over 558,000 plays, David it seems knew what he was talking about, as usual. The bands has over 40,500 friends (fans) and the base keeps growing. Upon this success , David convinced James two years ago to write ten new songs for a new album. What came out of the brain storming sessions with James, David and Pat was a collection of songs for a themed album now titled "The Courthouse and The Redemption. James plays acoustic guitar and puts his powerful voice to the lead vocal parts of the songs. The sample demo that James recorded for David and Pat to work out the arrangement for the song "Lonesome Boy", was put on the band's myspace page has gotten over 12,000 plays itself. The band will release the new album on September26, 2010. It will be played first on Tessa Burwood's Radio show on Rhubarb Radio @ 4:00PM Local Birmingham, UK Time.
David Floyd plays keyboards, Bass guitar, drums,acoustic guitar and cello while producing,arranging,engineering the music for these sessions. David produced these sessions through his company called floydsproduce.com./ floydsproduce produces local and national artists as well as all the James Thomas Bands songs. David has worked in Charlotte, North Carolina after spending many years working his magic in Nashville, Tennessee. Many American Country and Bluegrass artist have to thank David's genious for their success.
Pat Walters lead guitarist, both electric and acoustic, stylings for these sessions for this album and on many of David's projects have kept Pat in demand over the years. While working countless recording projects over the last twenty years, Pat also plays lead guitar and vocals for the famous band The Spongetones. Although The Spongetones are a Charlotte area band,this spring, they flew to Japan to play two concerts for their many fan's. The Spongetones cover 1960 music with near perfect performances of The Beatles and many other English bands.
